The 1-1/2 day training begins Friday, 1-5:30 PM, and continues on Saturday, 8 AM-3:30 PM.  A Continental breakfast, lunch and breaks are included. Each attendee will receive a copy of the Counselor Training Workshop Participant’s Guide and Leader’s Guide at the course (retail value of $94.98). 

This training enables you to experience the Good $ense Counselor Training Workshop as it simultaneously trains you to teach it! Designed for stewardship leaders and teachers, the goal of this workshop is to equip you to effectively train volunteers to be budget counselors who will then be able to help others in your church. Those who wish to be trained as budget counselors, or those exploring the ministry may also attend.

The workshop covers all course content, including biblical financial principles, interpersonal skills, and counseling principles and practices needed to successfully complete a budget counseling case. You’ll have opportunity to discuss implementing a Good $ense counseling ministry and receive practical tips on how to use Good $ense training resources in your church. There will be ample time for you to ask questions about specific issues, concerns and development of a counseling ministry.
